Are you interested in watching the sky? I think that we all have been curious about the sky at one time or other, and often wondered what all of those things - stars, planets, moon, sun are and how to find them.
Fortunately, now there are web sites and software to help make it easy. Below is a link to a site that will provide a view of the sky at any place on earth and at any time. It also provides information about the movement of the planets around the sun.
There are actually 3 flavors of the program.
1. By clicking the "Mini-AstroViewer" button, you will get a quick, but simple display which is the same as above except that you can change the date and time as well as the viewing location.
2. Clicking one of the other links will take you to the web site which provides additional features.
3. You can download a more complete version that you can run from your computer without having an Internet connection. It does not display current or future times, but it shows the functionality for free. To enable all the functions will cost about $17.
