Genealogy and Related Information
As I have been involved in Genealogy and family history research, I have come across several items of interest I would like to share.
>> NWIGS - Northwest Indiana Genealogical Society.
If you live in or have ever had any relatives from Northwest Indiana - specifically Lake or Porter County, check this out.  As Eric, the presenter on October11, 2008 indicated, what a deal!
>> ACPL - Allen County Public Library
     This is from the start of their site - go visit and check it out ! ! !
This renowned collection includes more than 350,000 printed volumes and 513,000 items of microfilm and microfiche. Patrons of the department also have access to major online databases at:
    * Ancestry.com
    * Footnote.com
    * HeritageQuestOnline.com
    * NewEnglandAncestors.org
    * Origins Network: British, Irish & Scots
    * ProQuest Obituaries
    * WorldVitalRecords.com
As a cooperating partner with the Family History Library in Salt Lake City, the department can provide access to more than 2.4 million rolls of microfilmed genealogical and historical records for a small handling fee per roll of film requested.
